If you have a Christian friend, then you know how important it is to pray for them. Prayer is a powerful way to connect with God and help your friends to stay covered and protected! God has blessed me some wonderful friends, but it wasn’t always like that.

When I became a Christian I lost all my friends. In that season I prayed and prayed God would bring be godly friends that loved Him. And sure enough He began to bring those people into my life. Some I have known for 20 years and love them dearly.

Whether you are praying for friends to come into your life, or praying for a specific friend. My hope and prayer is that these prayers would be a helpful guide for you. I do want to encourage you that as you pray to make sure that your prayers are specific to your needs and to the needs of your friend. Use names and don’t be afraid to share your feelings. A Prayer to Find Godly Friends

Almighty God thank You for godly friendships. Those relationships that encourage and provoke us to a life of godliness. Proverbs 27:17 says that as Iron sharpens Iron so does one man sharpen another. I am tired of friends who lead a life of wastefulness and recklessness. Help me to stand for what is right and to alienate myself from detrimental friendships.

God, You that know the hearts of people, protect me from swindlers and deceivers. Lord, I pray for friends who will laugh with me when I’m laughing and weep with me when I’m weeping. May I also be a godly friend to others in Jesus Name, Amen

A Prayer for Healing of Sick Friend

My Great Physician, I am scared because of my friend’s sickness. They are feeling powerless and we are all  scared of the situation. But we also realize that  Your power is present for all situations. I pray that You bring them relief during such a time of pain. Grant them healing and let them have their strength once again. Your Word tells us that by Your stripes You received on Calvary we can ask for healing.

Today as I stand in the gap in my friend’s life I am amazed by Your love. You created the universe and You still take time to listen to us when we pray. Lord, I don’t understand all that is happening in my friend’s life but I know that the situation is in Your hands and You will  bring victory to their direction in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, at this moment my friend is not very strong, I bring him/her before You.  He/she doesn’t have the strength to rise up again because of the difficult time he/she is going through.  For You have promised to make rivers in the desert, I know that there is nothing too hard for You. Father, my friend needs a miracle. We have tried science, politics and people’s wisdom and it has all failed. All people are saying that he/she is in an impossible situation.  But Lord when I read Your Word it reminds me that what is impossible for man is not hard for God. Father, if You could bring the dead back to life and heal the lepers then the condition and the circumstances of my friend are small in comparison to what You can do. Thank You, Jesus for providing a miracle for my friend’s situation. Amen.

Almighty Encourager, I thank You for Your unending hope. I pray that my friend will find encouragement despite all that has happened in his/her life. Remind him/her that nothing is impossible with You and You can get him/her out of any situation. Let his/her latter glory surpass the former and let his/her tomorrow be better than yesterday.

May he/she advance spiritually, physically, financially and emotionally.I decree that he/she is moving out of stagnancy.
