As a Christian, it is important to pray for those in authority over us. Praying for our teachers is a way of doing just that! Teachers have one of the most important jobs in our society- shaping the minds and hearts of our children.

It is crucial that we pray for them to have God’s grace, protection, wisdom, and favor. Especially because what is happening in our culture. We need God to raise up Godly teachers who will teach truth, share God’s love, and be an example to our children.

Prayer for Teachers to Have Grace

Heavenly Father, I thank You for teachers. I know that teaching is a noble profession and one that is vital to the future of our society and world. I ask that You would give all teachers grace during this season. The grace to love their students, even when it’s not easy.

Grace to uphold truth, when culture says otherwise. Grace to correct in love. Grace to be an example of Your righteousness. Fill them with Your Spirit we pray, and may the fruit of the Spirit be evident in their lives- love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Lord Jesus, I ask for Your protection over our teacher. I live in a fallen world and there is so much darkness that wants to destroy what is good.
