When unpleasant things happen in our lives we can find comfort in God. In this article, we will look at Bible verses for a broken heart will encourage and comfort you in this time of need.
A broken heart can come in many ways. Sometimes it’s the loss of a loved one, or a relationship has ended, or someone you have trusted failed you or a door has been slammed shut in your face. And sometimes it’s a combination of many things.
No matter how the pain came in….it HURTS. And sometimes it doesn’t go away easily. I have experienced this first hand with a breakup and with losing my dad. Your emotions are on high, you are stressed out, and you are looking for something to calm or relieve the pain. This is when we have to be wise and choose God to help us through it. Otherwise, we can fall into some dark and even demonic strongholds.
God is so faithful and loving! He wants to meet us right where we are at. He’s not afraid or offended by our tears, or anger, or confusion. He wants to bring words of encouragement and comfort to you. He wants to give you the peace you need during this situation.
Meditating, reading, and praying Bible verses is a great way to get our focus off how heartbroken we are and onto God’s faithfulness and peace. I also encourage you to spend some time in worship. These two things are incredible powerful in helping you through a time of heartache.
Now, below you will find 25 scriptures for a broken heart to help with the pain in you are experiencing. I found using verses like this as an affirmation can really help break through in your thinking and lies the enemy wants to plant in your mind and heart.
I also wanted to share a song with you that has brought a lot of comfort to me. It’s called The God Who Sees by Nicole C. Mullen. I hope it also comforts you…
He sees you and He cares.
